Publications

At Stride it is our aim to produce materials which will enhance the work of teachers and support staff working with pupils with special needs.

It is so difficult for staff to find published material that is appropriate to their pupils and they are always in a situation where they have to adapt and produce their own.

In October Stride published Delivering Careers Education and Work-related Learning to Pupils with Learning Difficulties. This is a complete guide and scheme of work from year seven through to post-sixteen in careers education, which is now statutory from year seven.

Big open quotation mark I am grateful to Stride Training Limited for this guide to Careers Education and Work-Related Curriculum. It is a wonderfully practical document that a teacher new to learning difficulties could use to deliver well-planned, differentiated and ‘fun’ lessons. Equally, for the experienced teacher, the guide is a brilliant resource to use as a springboard for further content, ideas and creativity. It is a must for every teacher from year 7 upwards...
