Training with other organisations
Stride also works with people outside of education, offering bespoke training on a wide range of issues. These organisations have included The Early Learning Alliance, Youth Service, parents and the Connexions Service. As with all bespoke training the aim is to have a practical relevance to the organisation and to increase confidence in delivery of service.
Examples of this work includes:Working with Connexions
Stride works closely with the Connexions service offering bespoke training on a number of issues related to work with young people with special needs. Areas of work we have covered include:- awareness of hidden disabilities, e.g. autism, dyspraxia, mental health, ADHD
- developing communication
- group work strategies
- the transition of young people with special needs
- working with young people with specific needs, e.g. Down’s syndrome, moderate learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties
Stride training have delivered a number of courses for us and all have been of a high quality tailored to the needs of our staff, I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

Supporting youth work
Stride can support youth workers in delivering effective practice to young people with special needs through bespoke training and consultation in:- Input into the qualifying course for part-time workers
